Way softer than the cotton blankets I used with my first baby, and after a dozen washes it hasn't pilled or lost its shape. The GOTS certification sold me, but the lightweight feel is what keeps it in rotation for swaddling and stroller naps.
The fabric honestly feels like butter straight out of the package, and it's so lightweight that wrapping my newborn feels effortless even in the middle of the night. Knowing it's GOTS-certified gives me real peace of mind against her skin.
I've washed this blanket probably ten times now and it still feels just as soft, no pilling at all. The GOTS certification sold me since my daughter has eczema, and it's been gentle on her skin. Lightweight enough for summer but I still swaddle her in it every night.
